E3 has wrapped up and with it came plenty of announcements this past week, with Nintendo somewhat surprisingly having one of the best showings of the bunch. Besides major announcements of games like Metroid Prime 4, we also got some new amiibo reveals, and four of them specifically are already sold out at a few retailers, with a new retailer finally listing them earlier today.
During last week’s Nintendo Spotlight, they showed a little teaser trailer for the second batch of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC set to arrive later this year known as The Champions’ Ballad.
We got very few details about what this actually is, but it did come with the announcement that we were getting four new amiibo based on the four Champions from the game, Mipha, Daruk, Usbosa, and Revali. Very soon after the announcement, a few retailers put up pre-orders for these four amiibo, with a few already selling out.
The first two retailers to put up pre-orders for the quartet of new Breath of the Wild amiibo were Best Buy and GameStop, with both currently being seemingly sold out of each, with Best Buy listing them as “Coming Soon” and GameStop as “Not Available.” GameStop did put up a Champions Bundle yesterday with the four together, but that also sold out very quickly.
People have been waiting for other retailers to put them up, and thankfully Walmart came to their rescue by putting up the four earlier today. Right now, you can order Mipha, Daruk, Urbosa, and Revali from their website to be shipped to your home or for in-store pickup.
With how fast these have sold out elsewhere, I would go ahead and get my orders in as soon as possible. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait for other retailers like Target and Amazon, or try to get them in-store when they eventually released on a currently unannounced date.
