Agents of Mayhem didn’t sit well with everyone, currently averaging a 69 (PC) on Metacritic. Volition attempted to inject their signature Saints Row personality into an open world hero shooter. The end result, by the majority vote, was a mixed bag of ideas that fell short of the team’s previous works.
The game has been released for nearly two months now and it is already receiving a massive discount. The Agents of Mayhem Steam page is hosting a 66% off sale, bringing the title down to an incredibly low $20.39. It might not be the end-all-be-all of video games and the PC port wasn’t all that impressive on the performance side, but the price point may still be enticing to those that have held off this long.
So now you, the prospective buyer, are left with the lingering question of whether or not to buy Agents of Mayhem. That’s a tough question to answer and one that will undoubtedly vary greatly between each person. If you were to ask Geek Culture Podcast’s very own Senior Editor, Anthony DeCicco, he would say that this “B-movie blast rivals many AAA experiences” and is worth the price of admission. Other individuals, who may or may not be a part of his team, might disagree. To each their own, right?
