Tekken 7 released on home consoles and PC this June to strong critical praise after its initial arcade run. The game has sold incredibly well thus far, with DLC still coming for the game and now the latest character reveal for the game is quite a surprise with Final Fantasy XV’s Noctis.
The last few days have been good ones for fighting game fans, especially those that love guest characters, as we just got the reveal of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles joining the roster of Injustice 2 on Friday night and now it was Tekken 7’s turn.
Coming after the Tekken World Tournament finals that were streamed on Twitch, Bandai Namco revealed that Final Fantasy XV’s Noctis Lucis Caelum was joining the roster for Tekken 7. This follows the previous reveal of the guest character Geese Howard from the Fatal Fury and King of Fighters series, who is coming sometime this Winter, as well as Street Fighter’s Akuma that was included on the game’s base roster. In addition to Noctis, a Final Fantasy XV stage was also announced that will be coming to the game.
While Noctis was just announced, he won’t be out for awhile. Bandai Namco announced he will be out sometime in Spring 2018, so we still have a few months to wait. In the meantime, you can watch the reveal trailer below.
