Far Cry 5 System Requirements Detailed With 4K Recommendations

Ubisoft has lifted the veil on the system requirements for Far Cry 5. The new Montana-based open-world shooter looks to support a decent range of hardware configurations, even stretching back a few generations of graphics cards, but it is going to need a fairly formidable setup to run the game at higher settings and modern resolutions. And we all want to see that loveable, canine companion rendered in the highest quality possible.

Here’s the rundown of the absolute minimum requirements to manage 720p as well as the recommended setup for 1080p at 60fps.

For the cutting-edge enthusiasts out there, Ubisoft kept you in mind when releasing this info. They have also put together requirements for those looking to achieve 4K at either 30fps or 60fps. Mind you, the power demand is quite high.

The developer said  this is only a sneak peak into the PC version of Far Cry 5, with a platform specific feature analysis and/or video likely to release closer to launch. However, they did reveal that it will feature “variant aspect ratio support, FOV adjustment, optional FPS locking, and resolution scaling.”

Hopefully your PC isn’t currently in need of a better graphics card or increased memory, given the massive price spikes on the two. For everything else, secure your upgrades before Far Cry 5 launches on March 27th.
